- Add the almond milk first, then layer in the raspberries, peeled lemon, frozen banana, and dates. Starting with liquid helps everything blend smoothly.

Lenny & Shalva's note: This one actually holds up in the fridge for a day or two — just shake or give it a quick re-blend before drinking. If your dates are dry, soak them in warm water for 5–10 minutes first so they blend without leaving chunks. The lemon is doing real work here, so don't skip it — just make sure the peel is fully removed or you'll get bitterness.
