Homemade peanut butter in a Vitamix is one of those things you don't know you're missing until you make it. Pure, one-ingredient peanut butter with nothing but nuts — and the aroma while it's blending is something else. Better than anything from the store, and it takes 90 seconds.

  • 4 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. Add peanuts to your Vitamix container. Insert the tamper through the lid. Blend on high for 60-90 seconds, using the tamper to push the peanuts down into the blade. Serve on fruit, celery, or fresh bread.

Use high speed and use the tamper — that's it. You're not hurting the machine. The high-pitched chugging sound is normal and just means your nut butter is done.
