My husband used this recipe. Is it normal the it forms a thick white creamy substance at the bottom of the jar? And obviously clouds the water when shaken?
I’m pretty new to learning about fermenting, which seems to be what you are doing. They make special tops and and vent pipes for fermenting in canning jars…
Spice measurements, are they per batch or per jar?
Per jar! ๐
Let us know how they turn out, Nanette!
The liquid is only water….no vinegar? How interesting. I am an Iowa girl displaced to Arizona. I will have to try these…..no radishes!!!
I am loving your smoothies.
Yep, no vinegar!
Thanks for the kind words about our smoothies. Help us out by spreading the word!
Can you reuse the mixture after you eat all your pickles?
Thanks for this! I made some last night. Will let you know how they turn out!
Update: See all those radishes in the pictures? Unless you want “Pinkles”, I don’t recommend adding them to the jars. The entire batch we made yielded jars of PINK pickles.
Live and learn, right?
