kcalThis Apple Carrot Kale Juice recipe, also known as “The Refresher,” offers a nutrient-dense, whole-food alternative to traditional juicing methods. Utilizing a high-perfromance blender, this recipe combines apples, carrots, and kale with lime juice to create a smooth, refreshing beverage. Unlike conventional juices, this method retains the fiber from the fruits and vegetables, offering additional health benefits. The apple provides natural sweetness, masking the flavor of the kale, making it an approachable option for those new to green juices. This versatile recipe can be prepared quickly, making it suitable for busy mornings or as a midday energy boost. With its blend of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, this juice serves as a flavorful way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into one’s diet
1/2 cup (120 ml) water
Juice from 1/2 lime (about 1 Tablespoon or 15 ml)
1 medium apple (180 g), cored and sliced
1 cup (128 g) carrots, cut into small pieces
1 cup (67 g) kale, chopped
1 3/4 cups (368 g) ice cubes

When I first read this, I thought you meant to throw the entire half lime in the Vitamix. You could def do that, too, if you’re looking for a bitter bite.
But, the way you describe is absolutely the way I do it, too. I don’t even know how you would measure juice from half a lime?
Can’t you just throw the half lime in there? Me being me, why waste time getting juice from half a lime when I can just cut it it half, peel it, remove the seeds and toss it in the Vitamix?
Used to do this with my Nutribullet whenever a recipe called for lime/lemon juice (until it finally bit the bullet).
