I’m going to be honest, I thought I would hate this recipe & it took me WAY too long to try it! It is amazing and has become my daily juice! And can I tell you, NOTHING has ever made my face lose the puffiness so fast! 4 days in and I look like me again!

Love this recipe as a daily boost. I added flax but wil try hemp and chia and see if I notice any change in taste !

Yeah, same with the greens, less is usually more. And it’s nice to change things up. It doesn’t always have to be big tough kale!

We’ve been omitting banana from this one and might make that the new version — seems to last longer in the fridge and tastes more like a proper juice. Nearly a decade of making this and still making improvements. 🙂

Oh! We’ve found that the more ginger and lemon, the better.

I’ve had my Vitamix 3500 for around 4 years and I’ve only used it a handful of times, it sits in a cupboard unused which is crazy! Your videos and posts have inspired me to dust it off and get it out! I suppose I got a little scared initially of it as it’s loud and using the tamper makes me want to run lol I have the the small bowls and cups which I’ve never used so I’m thinking I’ll start with smaller things and work my way up! I live in UK and considering purchasing the smaller 1.4 wet container as recommended by you to make smaller batches. Thankyou for inspiring me to get some use from this machine finally and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Yes! Dust that thing off! We would actually recommend starting with the full size container and then moving on to the accessories. It’s the easiest to use and gets you the most consistent results when you’re just starting out. Think of your machine as a race car, it’s loud and wants to go fast. That’s what it’s made to do 🙂

    Can you use frozen vegetables?

You certainly can, would recommend using less though because they have a more concentrated taste.

I love this juice recipe! I make it every day but my 64 oz container stopped working and I’m having to wait on the new one to arrive. How would you convert this recipe for the 48 oz container?

Apologies for just seeing this (hopefully you have received your 64oz container by now). When using the 48oz we just half the recipe so we don’t have to get too creative with math 🙂

ok, I’m curious – normally, don’t you put the greens in before the fruit, etc?

Hi there from sunny (not) Great Britain!
Just wanted to say the green juice is superb. I make a batch and fill 6 little bottles (bought in a charity shop !) just the right size for a daily drink – I drink one on the Monday and that leaves me 5 in the fridge for the next 5 days ; each bottle has a cap with a hole for a straw that I cover with cling film.
Is that ok to keep it that way?
How do I send you some pics?
And thank you very much for your website.
I love my Vitamix – bought it this year at Lakeland with the 2 little adds on cups. Great machine but your opinion most definitely swayed me !
All the best to you and your family

I love this juice. Not too sweet, really refreshing, and the right consistency. This and your queso are my favorites.

I need to drink more of this–I started out with the super fruity smoothies (with some kale/spinach tossed in for good luck) after being pretty much a coffee person. I’m now heading toward the more green, less “vacation with a drink umbrella” smoothies:) But really, I’ve used so many of these recipes as a guide to learning my Vitamix. 🙂

Finally got a Vitamix…Gamechanger…I was making green juice in another blender, but this is superior. Mostly I just wanted to say: Your son is adorable and the juice is perfect. I do add a tiny nub of tumeric root.

I love this. We drink it every day. Every. Day. I see that, in the new video with the new little (so lovely!) that you are drinking fewer than 16oz of this at a time…what is a serving size?

I too would like to know what is considered a serving size?

I’m looking for a green juice with more veg and less fruit because I have breast cancer and need to cut down on sugar, even fructose. Three fruits and a big handful of greens seems like half & half. How do I make a green juice that’s mostly veg and yet tastes good? Thx!

I add celery and remove the banana and citrus. The apple celery combo is nice.

Also, they have an excellent celery recipe!

Totally hooked!! In fact I just ordered some large glass juice jars so that I can keep a constant supply going. I added turmeric and celery with the last batch bc that’s what I had in the fridge. Soooooo good. And it really makes you feel fantastic!! Thanks so much you guys!!! I love your site!! Cheers <3
