What I’d email a friend wanting to know about the 64-ounce container

If you want a second container to make larger batches, you can’t go wrong with a 64-ounce container. If you’re making smoothies or shakes for three or more, it’s a must.

Having one will also open up some capabilities that are similar to having a Food Processor Attachment. For example, the 64-ounce container, because of its wide shape, is great at coarsely chopping vegetables to make things like our Detox Salad.

The downsides are that if it’s your only container, you’ll need to make quite large batches of certain recipes like pesto or ice cream. And the measuring markings on the container may not last, especially if you clean using the dishwasher.

The upshot is that to have the best Vitamix-owning experience, you need multiple containers. And while you may not need the 64 right away, homes with two or more people usually appreciate having it.

What can the 64-ounce container make? Like all full-size Vitamix models, the low-profile 64-ounce container can make smoothies, smoothie bowls, hot soups, frozen desserts like ice cream, nut butters, shakes, dips like queso, spreads like pesto, sauces, dressings, frappés, frozen cocktails, spice grinds, and non-dairy milks. It’s only limitation is its minimum batch size for certain blends.

Who the 64-ounce container may be for…

Families of two or more Bigger batches and meal-prep are the key strengths for this container.
