What’s the story behind Blending For Good? How’d you get into this?

I’m Lenny Gale, one of the co-founders of Blending For Good. I’ve been running this company for 12 years.

This all began where we spend most of our days – at work. And as you may relate, there were two problems:

1. The work felt gross. I worked in finance for Big Food and I’ll never forget the products we were supporting and how they were noticeable in so many of the employee’s midsections.
2. I felt gross. The long hours and happy hours and free food really caught up to me.

So I decided to proverbially kill two birds with one stone. I was going to do good for me and do good for the world.

The plan was smoothies and shakes. But the first thing I needed was a blender.

After a few subpar blender experiences, I finally invested in a high-quality blender. It was a game-changer. The singular key to unlocking a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle. And it was a revelation that I couldn’t keep to myself.

Pretty quickly, I found myself giving blender demonstrations to everyone I knew. From bachelor buddies to new parents, to my parents and their friends, they all wanted to see magic performed with the tool that had become my new obsession.

Blenders became a career. I was the Vitamix guy at Life is NOYOKE helping people upgrade their lifestyles. And I was playing the long-game: enhancing the buying experience, offering authentic connection, and providing expert guidance.

But as the influencer market became crowded, it was time to raise the bar once again.

Enter Blending For Good, the authorized retailer. Same products, same people, just an all-grown-up store of our own.

So I’m back in the food business. But this time, I’m out to prove it can be a force for good.
