
Mango Banana Nice Cream
Two frozen fruits, one splash of milk, and your Vitamix turns out something that genuinely tastes like mango soft-serve – not banana. No ice cream maker, no added sugar, no compromise.

- Add the frozen banana and mango to your Vitamix, then pour in the milk. Put the lid on and make sure the tamper is in hand.
- Start on low and ramp up to high speed. Use the tamper to push the frozen fruit down into the blades — it’ll be thick and resistant at first, which is exactly right. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30–45 seconds total.
- Serve right away for soft-serve texture. For firmer scoops, scrape into a container and freeze for 30–60 minutes.

Lenny & Shalva’s note: The tamper is non-negotiable here — without it you’ll be tempted to add too much liquid and end up with a smoothie. Keep the milk to 1/3 cup and use the tamper aggressively. If it won’t budge, turn off the machine, give it a stir, and try again. Frozen fruit sweetness varies a lot by brand; taste before serving and add a small squeeze of lime or a drizzle of honey if it needs a lift. Leftovers freeze well but will get hard — let them sit at room temp for 5 minutes before scooping.
